How to make snake in visual scripting

I was watching this video

And was trying to do this in visual scripting but for the life of me I cant figure out how to get it to work in the visual script and I don't fully understand how it works in C# these snake tutorials just seem to start out so simple then become infinitely complex in a matter of minutes.

Is there a simple, easy way to do this. I'd be happy just getting a single tail segment to follow behind my snake.

I just don't understand why the tutorial says I need all these lists and loops It has be simpler than that
