How do you write the red text segments in the forum that everyone does?

I have read the markup guide, but cant see it. All I can manage is formatting it as code, but it's no good within a paragraph. Everyone else seems to know how to write the red text...

Multiline blocks of code are defined by four spaces before each line, single line snippets of code are surrounded by "`" .

Note that every answer or comment field has that little question mark ? at the top right. It brings you to this short overview of the most basic markdown rules. It doesn't explain code blocks but at the very bottom they linked an external site which explains how code blocks and code spans work.

Yes, it's a bit hidden, though markdown is not really a secret code.
